Doster was selected as Construction Manager for
three projects at Miles College. Founded in 1905, Miles College is
a private, liberal arts, historically black institution. The projects
included a new academic building, a new men's dormitory, and interior
renovation and exterior restoration to Brown Hall, a historic building
at the entrance of the campus.
The new 45,000 square foot multi-purpose academic building houses
classrooms for general instruction, seminar rooms, and an auditorium.
State-of-the-art technology is available throughout the building and in
every classroom. Doster received the following award for this project:
2004 ABC Merit in Construction Award
To help accommodate Miles College’s growing enrollment, a new 55,000
square foot men’s dormitory was constructed to house approximately 250
students. Doster received the following award for the dormitory project:
2005 ABC Excellence in Construction Award
The third project was an interior renovation and exterior restoration to
the historic Brown Hall, originally constructed in 1927. The renovation
updated office space and incorporated innovative technology. Brown Hall
houses executive suites and conference facilities for the office of the
President, CFO, and Director of Institutional Planning & Development. |
