Miles College
New Academic Building, Dormitory and Brown Hall Renovation

Doster was selected as Construction Manager for three projects at Miles College.  Founded in 1905, Miles College is a private, liberal arts, historically black institution. The projects included a new academic building, a new men's dormitory, and interior renovation and exterior restoration to Brown Hall, a historic building at the entrance of the campus.

The new 45,000 square foot multi-purpose academic building houses classrooms for general instruction, seminar rooms, and an auditorium. State-of-the-art technology is available throughout the building and in every classroom.  Doster received the following award for this project:
2004 ABC Merit in Construction Award

To help accommodate Miles College’s growing enrollment, a new 55,000 square foot men’s dormitory was constructed to house approximately 250 students.  Doster received the following award for the dormitory project:
2005 ABC Excellence in Construction Award

The third project was an interior renovation and exterior restoration to the historic Brown Hall, originally constructed in 1927. The renovation updated office space and incorporated innovative technology. Brown Hall houses executive suites and conference facilities for the office of the President, CFO, and Director of Institutional Planning & Development.
