Alabama Real Estate
Holdings, Inc., an affiliate of the Retirement Systems of Alabama and
the City of Montgomery, selected Doster as Construction Manager for this
hotel and convention center project which includes meeting rooms, large
ball room and pre-function areas, parking deck, and extensive renovation
to existing civic center.
Situated Montgomery's
Riverfront, the hotel will contain 347 rooms and three luxury suites
situated within ten of the hotel's 12 floors. The dramatic
entrance includes a porte-cochere, fountain, and flags in the motor
court. Inside the hotel will be an upscale restaurant and bar with
seating for 140 guests, a private bar with a small outdoor seating area
overlooking the front porch, and an outdoor Terrace dining space which
seating 50-60 guests.
The convention center will contain
more than 70,000 square feet of meeting
space and a 1,800-seat performing arts theater. A 14,000 square
foot ballroom can be found in the main level of the hotel as well as
additional meeting space on the hotel's second floor.
Parking will be available in the six-level parking deck
which will house more than 600 cars. The parking deck's top level
will include an 8,000 square foot European-style spa, fitness center,
signature pool with zero entry and fountains surrounded by a large deck.
In addition there will be a salon, small cafe and running track around
the perimeter of the deck. |
