The Retirement Systems of Alabama selected Doster
Construction Company as the construction manager for this project, on a
negotiated basis. Doster provided extensive Preconstruction Services and
then entered into a Construction Management contract to start the
project. Doster planned, bought-out and managed the entire project.
Resembling a castle you might see in Scotland, the Renaissance Ross
Bridge Golf Resort and Spa is the first destination resort built in
central Alabama. This resort sits on a first-class Robert Trent Jones
Golf Course and each of the guest rooms has a unique view of the golf
course.
The Hotel has 258 guestrooms and 11 suites, a lobby with superior
finishes including a library and massive fireplace, a restaurant and bar
with indoor/outdoor seating, outdoor pool and waterfall, conference
center with 20,000 square feet of meeting space, large pre-function
areas, and a Starbuck’s coffee shop.
The Golf Club House has a golf pro shop, bar, café, outdoor
dining area, and locker rooms. The golf carts are stored in the basement
level of the resort.
The full-service Spa contains 10 treatment rooms, a salon, indoor
pool, and a gym. It features separate sides, one for women and the other
for men, each with a lounge, quiet room with a whirlpool, locker room,
steam room, and showers.
Doster received the following awards for this project:
