Doster was contracted to construct the equipment
foundations for machinery involved in the production of rocket shells at
the new Boeing Delta IV Rocket Facility. Five different types of
foundations were constructed. Each foundation required intricate
formwork and embedded steel items and collectively contain over 12,000
cubic yards of concrete. The foundations were load tested with 200-ton
test blocks prior to machinery installation. The Doster team completed
this demanding project in just over six months.
"I would like to take this opportunity to commend
the Doster team for its performance on the recently completed equipment
foundation project at the Boeing Delta IV Rocket Facility in Decatur. As
you well know, the project had a very demanding schedule that included
critical milestone dates, all of which were achieved as a result of
Doster's serious commitment to the project. We appreciate your hard work
and the professional manner in which this project was managed. It has
been a pleasure working with you, along with your on site staff to
complete this project. We would welcome the opportunity of working
together in the future."
