The Surgery Center of Huntsville selected Doster
Construction Company to provide preconstruction and construction
management services on this four-story expansion and renovation to their
existing facility. The project included new operating rooms, patient
recovery rooms, administrative spaces, and a new lobby, patient waiting
area, and cafeteria.
The 59,000 square foot expansion houses post-op and pre-op areas, as
well as a 23-hour patient room floor, full-service kitchen and dining
room, administration suite, boardroom, physician's lounge, and patient
waiting area.
The 19,000 square foot renovation of the existing area added six new
operating rooms, four new endoscopy procedure rooms, and a new central
sterile suite.
This project was constructed on a fast-track schedule with the design
team to allow multiple early release packages. With an extremely tight
site and limited lay-down areas, Doster closely scheduled real-time
deliveries. The limited site area required off-site parking for all
construction personnel as well. |
