Soon after his return from Vietnam, where he served
as a 1st Lieutenant in a combat engineering platoon, Thomas Doster
launched Doster Construction Company, Inc. In 1969, Doster Construction
Company was virtually a one-man show that he operated out of the trunk
of his car. In the early days, Doster's first projects were remodeling
basements in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.
The "car-trunk turned office" days did not last long. In 1970, Doster
won a competitive bid for a project at the University of Alabama. Doster
delivered a good product on time and he was on his way.
Today, the enterprise is
consistently ranked by Engineering News Record as one of the nation's
top 400 contractors. The basement office is now a modern headquarters
facility of 30,000 square feet located in International Park in
Birmingham. Along with the Birmingham location, the Company also
operates offices in Atlanta, Nashville, and Orlando. While our roots are
firmly established in the Southeast, the Company has constructed
projects in twenty-seven states for some of the nation's leading
companies.
Through the exceptional skill and integrity of our employees and their
superior workmanship on every job, Doster has gained a reputation for
excellence in educational, healthcare, industrial and multi-family
construction.
Our teamwork approach -
close association between the Doster project team and the client from
start to finish, plus hands - on management at all levels - squeezes the
most value from every construction dollar. This management concept
results not only in cost efficient construction, but also informed,
satisfied customers evidenced by Doster's high volume of repeat business
for its clients. These repeat clients are the highest compliment we can
receive, and they are in keeping with our Company's mission,
"Building Lasting Relationships." |
