The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers selected the joint venture team of Doster, and Walbridge Aldinger, to build the new 98,900 square foot headquarters project for the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.

Home of the Screaming Eagles, the building houses approximately 410 personnel and is equipped with the latest technology throughout all areas of the building. The building's center courtyard, and north and south wings are set up like the V of an Eagle's wings to blend sound structure with pleasing aesthetics. About 65 percent of the facility has a compressed air system 18 inches under the floor, and requires no duct work. The building consists of two floors, with a basement and connecting lobby.

The entrance is a full height glass curtain wall system intersected by a poured-in-place concrete cylindrical rotunda. The atrium allows natural light to filter in from above, highlighting the bronze miniature sculptures, each depicting a part of Screaming Eagles history. The high ceiling is curved and wavy to look like the white head feathers of a bald eagle.

Public access is confined to the lobby and atrium area, while security clearance is required to access the administrative offices and conference rooms. The building can accommodate top-secret conferencing and phone calls.

The exterior of the building consists of brick, metal wall panels and a standing seam roof.

This project is a 2007 Associated Builders and Contractors Award of Excellence winner in the Alabama and Mid-Tennessee Chapters as well as a 2007 AGC Build Alabama award winner.
