Gwinnett County School System selected Doster Construction Company as general contractor for the new $40.7 million Lanier High School.

Totaling just over 434,000 square feet, the new construction portion of the project comprises 326,600 square feet where 107,600 square feet consists of renovating what is the old middle school. The high school is constructed with exterior/interior CMU. The exterior consists of brick veneer, metal panels and an aluminum storefront. The five-story building, which includes a basement, has one floor unfinished for future expansion.

The new Lanier High School features numerous classrooms, biology and chemistry labs, a professional auditorium with stage, a competition gymnasium as well as a second auxiliary gym, a full-service kitchen and cafeteria, band and choral spaces, an art room and a media center. Outside spaces include tennis courts, commons area and 731 parking spaces. Approximately 1800 students now attend this campus.
