Aisin USA Manufacturing selected Doster to construct their new automotive manufacturing facility. Zeller Construction served as a local joint venture partner on the new 165,000 square foot facility that included 19,000 square feet of office space, with the remainder serving as the manufacturing area. The company manufactures sunroof, door and component parts for the automotive industry. The structure is a steel frame with exterior metal insulated panels and single-ply roofing. Doster was selected and signed a contract for $11.6 million. The owner then decided they did not want to spend this much and Doster was able to suggest cost saving alternatives that reduced the project by $900,000. In addition, Doster was able to hand the owner an additional $300,000 back at the close of the project in the form of savings.
In September 2003, Doster began construction on the Design/Build project of Aisin Light Metals, their new 130,000 square foot extrusion facility on the same site.
In December 2003, Doster began construction of Phase II. This phase consisted of a 165,000 square foot addition to the existing facility.
In June 2004, Doster began construction of Aisin's new 57,600 square foot manufacturing facility on the same site.
