Since 1996, Doster Construction has performed work on multiple projects for Mercedes-Benz at their Vance, Alabama facility. Today, Doster continues to be a reliable construction resource in Mercedes' continued growth.
During the original construction of the Mercedes-Benz plant, Doster was hired to complete miscellaneous architectural and structural work. Specific items included control rooms and a 35,000 square foot building. Also constructed were foundations for manufacturing equipment and entrance canopies.
The Mercedes-Benz Test Track Construction project challenged Doster to adjust to unique demands. It involved the construction of roadways resembling an obstacle course for the Sport Utility Vehicles produced by Mercedes. Our project leaders traveled to Germany to study their test track in preparation for constructing the test track in Alabama. The benefit of our advance preparation was evident as the project was completed in just over seven action-packed months.
As part of their overall project to double the size of their Assembly Plant that produces the M-Class vehicle, Mercedes-Benz awarded Doster the contract to install pits, slabs, and trenches. The project covered 800,000 square feet and used 20,000 cubic yards of concrete.
Doster continues to work with Mercedes on various projects - large and small. We believe that repeat clients such as Mercedes are the highest compliment we can receive, and they are in keeping with our Company's purpose, "Building Lasting Relationships."
