Doster was selected as general contractor for Norton Commons’ upscale multifamily project, Veranda. Veranda’s 236 living spaces are located just three blocks from the South Village Center in Norton Commons. Birmingham, Alabama based Doster began construction in December and is on schedule to complete in the spring of 2015. Veranda’s 236 units will include designer finishes, such as hard-surface flooring in all of the living areas, granite countertops, all-tile bathrooms, and stainless steel appliances. Veranda’s mix of one, two and three-bedroom flats and townhomes – many with attached garages – will range from 690 square feet to more than 1,500 square feet. Community amenities will include a club and fitness center, a pool with outdoor fireplaces and kitchen areas, a dog park and grooming station, extensive landscaping and a central community lawn for recreation and events. Doster is the project’s general contractor with Charlan, Brock & Associates as the architect of record.
