Doster participated in the Children’s Harbor Pig Iron BBQ Challenge on Friday, October 20 at the Hoover Met in Birmingham, Alabama. Pig Iron is a family-friendly, corporate tailgate event where you can sample food prepared by sponsoring teams representing companies in the area. The event raises money for Children’s Harbor Family Center’s programs and services for patients and families at Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children in Birmingham. These services include Career Development and Transition Programs, Counseling and Support, and Activities and Special Events.
Doster team members worked for weeks on their tent with the theme “Peace, Love & BBQ” and were awarded first prize in the best tent category, as well as first place for Boston Butt and second place for best BBQ sauce.
