Doster broke ground on Birmingham’s newest luxury apartment community, Foundry Yards, on May 21 with Atlanta-based Novare Group. The 268-unit apartment development, designed by Niles Bolton Associates, will be located on a site near Railroad Park and Regions Field. The development will consist of two buildings as well as a parking garage on site with approximately 344 spaces. The two 5-story buildings will contain studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments and many upscale amenities such as a clubroom, co-working space, fitness center, pool, outdoor grilling and patio areas, and dog park.
“Birmingham, as a metro area, has a strong job market and has several Fortune 1000 headquarters. And downtown — with Railroad Park, the commercial district, UAB, and the ball park — is teeming with activity,” said Jim Borders, president of Novare Group. “We like our particular site a lot and now that we have closed the deal, look forward to a couple of years of construction with our Birmingham-based contractor, Doster, and then our residents enjoying a great place to live.”
