Doster Construction Company and Tristar Centennial Medical Center officially broke ground on a new Freestanding Emergency Room (FSER) on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Nashville.

The project is a ground-up construction of a new one-story 10,860 square foot building to be used as an 11-treatment room freestanding emergency room and will operate as a satellite department of Tristar Centennial Medical Center.

The project includes a waiting area, exam rooms, trauma, lab, nurse station, restrooms, and associated spaces. The new ER will also include two covered entry canopies, one for emergency vehicles and one for public drop off as separate entities from the main building. An awning will go from the ambulance entrance to the decontamination room.

“We are exceptionally proud to bring emergency care services to the Bellevue community,” said Tom Ozburn, chief executive officer at TriStar Centennial. “This full-service ER will bring needed access to the western part of Davidson County and serve as a vital resource for patients who will no longer need to drive downtown to receive emergency care.”
