Doster Construction Company officially started construction on the new Percy L. Julian High School for Montgomery Public Schools. The modern high school campus will replace the existing facility and is designed to enhance educational resources and opportunities for students in the area.

The new campus will include advanced classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, a performing arts center, athletic facilities, and dedicated areas for career and technical education. Designed to support both academic and extracurricular programs, the school will provide a more dynamic and flexible environment for student learning and development.

“We’re excited to begin construction on this transformative project for Montgomery Public Schools and the students of Percy L. Julian High,” said Grant Davis, Doster Senior Project Manager.

Doster is working alongside the project’s design team, McKee & Associates, program manager Volkert, and Montgomery Public Schools to deliver the new high school with a focus on quality, safety, and long-term value. The project honors the legacy of Dr. Percy L. Julian by supporting the next generation of learners in a space designed for growth and achievement.

“This project represents more than just bricks and mortar, it’s a promise to our scholars, families, and community that we are committed to providing world-class learning environments,” said Dr. Zickeyous Byrd, Superintendent of Montgomery Public Schools. “The new Percy L. Julian High School will serve as a symbol of pride, progress, and potential for generations to come. We are incredibly thankful to our Board and stakeholders for making this vision a reality.”
