Doster Construction Company is proud to announce the completion of Shallowford Pointe, a new 96-unit affordable housing community developed by DGA Residential in East Chattanooga. Community leaders, project partners, and residents gathered on November 19 for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of the multifamily development.

Located at 2244 Teton Trail, Shallowford Pointe includes 48 two-bedroom and 48 three-bedroom ENERGY STAR®-certified apartments featuring modern finishes, spacious layouts, and washer/dryer connections. The community also offers market-rate amenities, including a playground, fitness center, computer room, and on-site management.

“There is a significant need for more affordable housing in Chattanooga, and our goal at DGA is to help meet that growing demand by providing safe, accessible residential communities where people truly feel at home,” said Craig Cobb, president of development for DGA Residential. “The opening of Shallowford Pointe helps further that mission to provide quality affordable housing options for families here and throughout the Southeast.”

The development was made possible through the support of numerous partners, including the City of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Housing Authority, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA). Financing was provided by Pinnacle Financial Partners and Walker & Dunlop, with architectural design by Studio A. Doster Construction served as the project’s general contractor.
