Doster Construction Company is on target to complete the Iron City Lofts project, located in Birmingham’s Lakeview district, in January 2016. Construction on the 70-unit luxury loft complex began in January of this year. Doster has completed the roof and is currently installing the windows, doors, interior plumbing, and the heating and air rough-in components. The complex will feature a modern fitness center with garage doors that lead directly to the elevated spa and deck, an urban leasing center, on-site air conditioned storage and surface level parking. The upscale amenities in the individual studio, one and two bedroom units include 10 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, granite counter tops, interior barn doors in select units, and stunning, unobstructed views of the city. Iron City Loft’s thriving walkable community boasts access to the neighboring Farmers Market at Pepper Place, Sloss Furnace, and all of the great restaurants, breweries and shops in the Lakeview District, as well as close proximity to St. Vincent’s Hospital, BBVA Compass, and the VA Hospital Annex. Iron City Loft’s boutique size, combined with luxury amenities will provide for an option not present in the city. Please visit www.ironcitylofts.com for more information on leasing reservations. KRE Ventures is the project’s developer with Doster as the general contractor and Hendon + Huckestein Architects, PC as the architect of record. Doster Multifamily has completed more than 1,000 units of multifamily housing in the last year alone and was recently ranked within the Top 20 Multifamily General Contractors in the nation by Multifamily Executive magazine. Iron City Lofts adds to the list of other Doster projects in the downtown Birmingham area including Children’s of Alabama Renovations, Kirklin Clinic Renovations, and UAB’s Hill Student Center.
